You have definitely used the fleeting light to your advantage in both images. In the first, there is still a very good sense of light and shadow, and the expressions are very charismatic and friendly. The very gentle sunflare in the second really helps to bring out the romantic mood and sense of motion as it highlights hair. It also serves as a great contrast against the darker brick wall and tree on the right side. A very dynamic photo, all in all.
